Where to sleep?

Depending on budget and personal taste, there are masses of choices.

MoHouse

This is our monthly choice! Only just open, it is a stunning Bed&Breakfast in the historical part of town. An 18th century building gives way, the moment you go through the door, to beautiful interiors, with exquisite decoration. Lovely views from bedrooms…

Grande Hotel do Porto

This absolutely beautiful and historic 3-star hotel, would fool anyone into believing its a 5-star! Located in one of the buzziest streets downtown, it dates back to 1880 but was refurbished a few years ago and beautifully decorated by Fernando Marques de Oliveira, a very well known designer and artist.

The House of Sandeman – Hostel & Suites

This has only just opened doors and gives you the opportunity of spending one or several nights in a real Port Wine Cellar. You will find it on the other side of the river, where all Port Wine cellars are located, overlooking the historical center of Porto. It has 10 suites and 60 extra beds in shared bedrooms. Once there, take advantage to do some wine tasting sessions!

The Yeatman Hotel

This is a rather more expensive option but a very good one if not on a budget. It’s on the other side of the river and has a really breathtaking view of Porto, not to mention their restaurant and spa, both fab.
