Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art
Designed by architect Siza Vieira, the visit should not only include the Museum as well as its villa, which is a unique example of Art Déco, and a stroll in its beautiful park. The park now holds a great exhibition of Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcellos.
Livraria Lello
Located in the center of town, it is surely one of the most beautiful book shops in the world, dating back to 1906. It’s amazing interior architecture is unmissable!
Stock Exchange Palace
It’s a National Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in the XIXth Century in the Neoclassical style and the Arab Room is an absolute beauty!
The St. Francis Church
Both Gothic and Baroque, it is a beautiful church and is located next to the Stock Exchange Palace.
Casa da Música
Literally called the House of Music, this amazing building is a project of Dutch architect Rem Kollhas and is definitely worth a visit. This whole year of 2019 will be dedicated to the wonders of the New World. When going to an evening concert, have dinner beforehand at their restaurant on the top floor.
